Is Radio Dead? Why are clients so hyped about podcast bookings?

We book more media in a day than most agencies book in a month or even a year, as we are hyper-focused, specifically on the “media engagement” niche of public relations. Most of our clients are other PR firms how have found it easier to outsource their client’s media engagement to us to facilitate each month, which allows them more time for the other components of PR their clients require.

We book interviews for TV, high traffic blogs, traditional media outlets, and once upon a time, we booked a serious volume of interviews on radio, but not anymore. It seems that influencer podcasts have replaced radio, as one of the most requested forms of media engagement for small, medium and even large size companies. Why? Well, it has to do with engagement, the new tribe/chieftain system, or influence that we see now in social media, as well as the high level of enthusiasm that the podcast subscribers have for the topic in which they are listening and the loyalty to the podcast show host.
